However, with the Industrial revolution and pollution of our seas and rivers, fish has become a very dangerous food to consume.

Indeed, if you check scientific data related to pollutants found in fish, you are going to find that it ranks among the most dangerous foods to consume!

Well, you can check this article, I really enjoyed reading it, and most importantly, it will debunk some myths we have about fish: http://www.diseaseproof.com/archives/toxins-fish-pollution-risks.html

So, does fish cause candida?

The answer is yes; consuming fish on a daily bases or even once every two or three days is going to increase candida symptoms and may even cause it.

You need to understand that you already have candida in our gut flora, no one is free of it, and the only barrier we have between us and having candida outbursts is our diet.

In other words, by consuming a diet which is high in fibers, we are able to control the levels of candida colonies in our gut flora, this way, every morning, when you go to the bathroom, you flush out most of the candida colonies and this keeps them from spreading to other areas of your body and to even increasing inflammations in your colon and other areas of your system as well.

However, by decreasing the consumption of fiber and by enjoying processed foods a lot, we increase constipation levels; this causes candida colonies to increase in number and cause outbursts throughout our body.

My advice is to avoid eating fish!

I’m sure that this is going to sound very harsh, and it’s the truth, but if you have candida, you need to avoid fish consumption as much as possible, the first reason is because it contains high amounts of pollutants, such as mercury, lead, and even PCB and other dangerous chemicals, and most importantly, for your candida, fish will contribute to constipation, which is going to increase candida outbursts tremendously, so, just say no to fish.

Now, should you consume fish when you have candida?

Of course not, avoid fish as much as possible, and from now on, if you’d like to increase your omega three levels, EPA and DHA, the best solution you have is to consume ground flaxseeds, every day, especially in the morning, before breakfast, drink one liter of water and have two tablespoons of ground flaxseeds, they are rich in minerals, fiber, and most importantly, they will give you enough omega3s through the day.
