Should eat chocolate when you have candida? The answer is absolutely no, you should stay away from chocolate because of the following:
It contains huge amounts of sugar.
I have already talked about this in many of my previous posts, the fact that simple sugars are going to cause candida outgrowth and outbursts in most people, it’s because these tiny funguses live and thrive on these nutrients, the more you have in your diet, the more they are going to increase in number and also cause you different symptoms and different side effects!
Chocolate is also very rich in fats.
Fats are also going to decrease your gut flora’s activity, in other words, your good bacteria aren’t going to be as active and as efficient, this will leave room for candida to thrive and even to increase in number which is very dangerous for your overall health.
Even worse, more and more chocolate brands are using different chemicals and preservatives/E numbers in order to enhance the taste and also the shelf life of their products, which tend to be very dangerous for your overall health as these chemicals have been linked to different diseases and health hazards as well.
So, what to eat instead of chocolate when you have candida?
I love chocolate, and in fact, I feel horrible because I can’t eat it every day, however, what you need to understand here is that chocolate is dangerous when you have candida, and the best thing to do is to consume nuts instead.
This is the reason why I consume one handful of walnuts at least once a week, it’s very satisfying, delicious, and most importantly, it’s a wonderful snack which contains huge benefits and most importantly, it also lowers candida outbursts and overgrowth tremendously.
Please, if you have a question concerning chocolate and candida, don’t hesitate to post it in the section below, I will be very happy to help you.
