Should you follow a low-carb diet in order to get rid of candida?
ABSOLUTELY NOT, I do not recommend this, and most doctors do not as well because whenever you talk about low-carb diets, you also talk about consuming huge amounts of protein, especially from animal sources, and even worse, low amounts of fiber!
Anyone telling you that a low-carb diet is going to reduce candida is simply lying to you or just trying to sell you supplements or a miracle cure, which doesn’t work!
I have suffered from candida for a very long time in my life, in fact, for more than five years, and I have tried many supplements, antimicrobial, antifungal, and even antibiotic drugs, and to tell you the truth, they haven’t helped me, the only thing that has helped me was to follow a high carb diet, one which focuses on starches and one which contains huge amounts of fibers.
And in this post, I’m going to tell you why.
I don’t want you to believe me, I don’t want you to think that I have a miracle cure for you, what I want you to do is to try this for yourself, to see whether a high carb diet is going to help you or not, trust me, it’s going to remove your candida issues very quickly and most importantly, it’s going to increase your digestive health tremendously.
The most important thing you need to understand here is that by a high carbohydrates diet, I don’t mean processed foods, I don’t mean consuming huge amounts of soft drinks, alcohol, baked goods, doughnuts and other terrible foods, and then call yourself eating high carb foods! No!
What I’m talking about is consuming a diet which is rich in starchy foods, no processed foods, only great foods such as whole wheat bread, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and lots of starchy vegetables as well.
These are the ones which are going to help you get rid of candida, even better, they are very nutritious and also contain huge amounts of antifungal and antioxidants properties, which are going to help your immune system get rid of this terrible fungal issue very quickly.
The only rule you need to always abide by is the following:
Have lots of fiber, it’s very important because it’s going to help your bowel movements and whenever we talk about this, you should have in mind that your colon harbors many candida colonies, and the more constipated you are, the more they are going to hurt yourself and the more they are going to keep causing infections and harm.
My advice is the following: follow a high carb diet, enjoying whole wheat bread, enjoy potatoes, enjoy sweet potatoes, and most importantly, enjoy garlic and onion, as these foods are also very powerful when it comes to candida and are going to get rid of it once and for all.
Please, if you have a question when it comes to following a low-carb diet for candida, don’t hesitate to post it in the comment section below, I will be very pleased to answer it quickly.
