Should you take acidophilus when pregnant? This is what I’m going to talk about in this post.
By reading this post, you’re going to learn about the dangers of taking acidophilus when pregnant, most importantly, you will learn the essential steps you need to take in order to decrease your candida or thrush issues while also increasing your gut flora healthily and cheaply as well.
Trust me, by applying my advice, you will get the most essential knowledge when it comes to increasing your gut flora and also protecting your gastrointestinal system, however, if you ignore them, you will find yourself in lots of troubles very quickly as taking acidophilus when pregnant can be extremely dangerous!
There are many probiotics you can take, but acidophilus is probably the most famous one, however, I don’t recommend taking it when pregnant!
Simply because it’s not well understood!
I know that what I’m saying here is going to sound terrible and somehow disappointing to a lot of you, especially if you believe in the power of probiotics to heal your body, but the reality is that acidophilus is not fully understood and studied, especially when it comes to pregnancy.
My advice is to stay away from this probiotic as much as possible as it can cause many side effects, and here are the most important ones:
Constipation, it’s true, when you are pregnant, you will get constipated, but when you are pregnant and also taking acidophilus, you are not only going to get very constipated, but it’s going to become chronic!
Trust me, I’ve gone through this and I know that being constipated while pregnant is not only very depressing, but it’s also extremely dangerous for your body as you will concentrate lots of toxins in your system which is not only very damaging to your whole health, but to your fetus as well.
The second side effect is gas.
Acidophilus is going to increase gas while also making you bloated all day long!
Trust me, it’s not pretty and it’s also very depressing and discomforting as well.
My advice is to stay away from this probiotic as much as possible and to use what nature has given you: fibers!
Yes, I’ve stopped taking acidophilus, especially when I was pregnant, and I only took fibers, natural ones, in foods.
Most people are going to find this advice terrible because they think that supplements are better than foods, but it’s not true, foods are the best source when it comes to nutrients and especially feeding your good bacteria, and you need to understand that your gut flora is going to use fiber from your diet to increase in number and variety as well, so, the more you eat, the better these helper bacteria are going to work to provide you lots of energy and health.
The wonderful thing about fiber is that it’s going to give you good and healthy bowel movements on a daily basis which is very satisfying and healthy as well.
My advice is to consume at least two tablespoons a day of ground flaxseeds, and even better, switch from eating white bread to whole wheat bread, it’s the best for increasing your gut flora and for also increasing your immune response.
Here is what I want you to do right now:
Take a pen and paper and write down the things you need to buy, most importantly, one kilogram of flaxseeds, whole wheat bread, and mineral water!
Indeed, drinking water, in abundance, is the most important step you need to take when you are pregnant, it’s not only going to reduce toxin levels in your body, but it’s also going to hydrate your body and make it resistant to diseases.
Please, if you have a question, don’t hesitate to post it in the section below, I will be extremely happy to help you.
